I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps...
Seiously not looking forward to going home in a couple of days. This post is generally about me hanging out getting drunk. Yesterday i caught up with Mark Dean, got Foodswings and went vintage shopping in Williamsburg. Saw a straightjacket nation tshirt for sale in one shop (WTF?) went to this dive bar Charleston, We bought the first round, and the bartender wouldn’t let us pay for anymore...
Empire State Of Mind
I’m not really doing touristy things, just hanging really, so I’ll keep this post shortish. My few days:

Boston part II
Still feel pretty sick. Taking advil and throat lolls on the reg. Went to a comedy club last night with a bunch of people from the hostel. Wasn’t amazing, but I got a few lolls, so I guess it was worth the cover charge (free!) stopped at the pub around the corner, found some American wheat beer that was atchelly pretty good. A little pricey though.

Alcatraz Island
yo so relativly quiet one today. headed to Ike’s Place for lunch, got there early coz if u get there too late u can wait an hour. This is for a take away sandwhich place by the way. My mind wasnt blown like the place was talked up, but then again i probably have never had a sandwhich that good before.

Today i caught the BART into Berkley, hung around there a bit, sussed a few record stores, picked up a couple of rekkids. Sussed the University of California. Caught a bus to 924 Gilman st, figured if i cant catch a show there, i can at least get a photo out the front! GAY PRIDE PARADE - Was massive! I only watched for like an hour and a half but it went for ages! so many fruits….naked dudes everywhere….. grosse!
HAIGHT ASHBURY - The hippie area. Lots of weirdo hippies as you’d expect. Hippie shops everywhere, but a few kewl clothing shops and Ameoba records. Would have bought a couple of shirts...

Yesterday had my train/bus trip from LA to San Francisco. Was mostly boring, but did get to see a few kewl things thru the window. Firstly, caught the Pacific Surfliner to Santa Barbara, at one point the train was right next to the Pacific Ocean, it was a pretty awesome sight. Saw plenty of hills and farms and that shit, landscapes pretty different to Australia so it was interesting for a bit....

"Meat Is For Pussies" Book Launch
So tonight I was lucky enough to attend the “Meat is for pussies” book launch. First of all, BEST VEGAN FINGER FOOD EVER!! And it was all free! Met some of the PETA2 guys and girls who are about to do the entire warped tour! Kewl kids. LA BREA TAR PITS/PAGE MUSEUM
Today after watching the Socceroos win but still get knocked out of the cup (boooooooooo), i stumbled towards ocean and colarado and got onto the bus to check out the La Brea Tar Pits. Basically, there pits of oil that has trapped thousands of fossils of ice age animals. The Page Museum is located next to the pits and houses the fossils. Had Wooly Mammoths, Sabrecats etc. Was small but kinda kewl....
DOWNTOWN LA/EXPOSITION PARK
Today i just winged it around downtown LA. Walked round for a few hours through all the districts. Nothing heaps exciting, but had to be done. Saw some kewl stuff though. Stumbled upon the Babycakes NYC store there, grabbed a chocolate cupcake and a brownie. Pretty damn good! Girl who served me was a bit weird though.

MILEY CYRUS "CANT BE TAMED" WORLD PREMIERE!
This is definitely the highlight of the trip so far, and possibly of the entire trip! So i went to this little club called THE HOUSE OF BLUES. This place is pretty sick, is owned by DAN AYKROYD, and is probably a little bit smaller than Fowlers. Anyway, i was lucky enough to attend the WORLD PREMIERE of MILEY CYRUS’S new album!!!!
