PARTY IN THE USA

I just remembered i have a tumblr……
Now that’s sorted, back to not using it for another 6 months or so!

Seiously not looking forward to going home in a couple of days. This post is generally about me hanging out getting drunk. Yesterday i caught up with Mark Dean, got Foodswings and went vintage shopping in Williamsburg. Saw a straightjacket nation tshirt for sale in one shop (WTF?) went to this dive bar Charleston, We bought the first round, and the bartender wouldn’t let us pay for anymore drinks! He even brought us out whiskey shots out of nowhere! Left him with a generous tip. Got a little drunk. Mind u I’m talking about like 2pm here. Went and got a couple of slices at vinnies, then caught the L back to the hostel and drank some more with some of the hostel guys. Then back to another Yankees game! Sat in section 203 with the Bleacher Creatures! Participated in the roll call!!!(wiki it or maybe might be bake to find it on YouTube) went back to foodswings (I’m amazing), got some nachos and chatted to the hot girl who works there. Went to Union Pool to meet up with Alex. Drinking dirty shitty cheap PBR’s. Talked to Yankees fans about the game. Went to this weird bar, it was all hidden kinda like a speakeasy!! They let us play dice on the bar! They don’t play c-lo, they play this game called 3’s. It’s aight but I lost every time. Luckily only playing with dollar dollar bills. Got home at like 6:45am. The sun was up. Not kewl. Not sure if Alex even had time to go home and change before she started work. Defs feel sorry 4 her as I got to sleep till noon.

Oh today I atchelly did some touristy things. Went down to canal st and did my souvineer shopping. Hit baby cakes. Walked the Brooklyn Bridge. Man ppl are idiots, u get the good views if u walk TOWARDS Manhatten! I was smart enough to realize this. Then again this would probably be most of these peoples only time seeing Brooklyn. Their loss! Went to Toys’r’us times sq, wanted to ride the ferris wheel but decided that riding a kids ride solo is pretty sad. Went to Modells (gotta go to mo’s) and got a Yankees jersey. Saw the Empire State Building, went inside but didn’t go up to the top as it’s expensive, and I’ve done top of the rock which is apparently a much better view anyway. Smashed off a huge meal at red bamboo to top off a busy day! It’s raining pretty heavy so I dunno what I’m gonna do tonight. Some scumbag stole my last 2 beers too :(

I’m not really doing touristy things, just hanging really, so I’ll keep this post shortish. My few days:
*caught the Staten Island ferry. Wicked views of Manhatten, Brooklyn & the Statue of Liberty. Did this at night of course.
*ok they call this the city that never sleeps right? Me and Alex walked for like an hour trying to find a bar that was open. Hard times! Granted it was like 3am on a Monday morning.
*did the tour of Yankee stadium. Got to sit in the Yankee dugout!
*dinosaurs at the natural history museum.
*stroll thru central park
*times square at night. Ferris wheel at toys r us. Drinking in some random Irish pub. Stumbling thru grand central. Getting off at the wrong subway station coz I’m a drunk idiot.
*coney island! Rode the cyclone, walked on the beach, beer in a cardboard cup on the street, went to a minor league game; for $5 I got my ticket, a tshirt and a program!
*went to the levee, $4 for a can of beer and a shot of whiskey!
*Yankees game (again) vs angels with vesko. Yankees won this time! Saw a few bombs! Mariano Rivera came in to shut the game down :)
*foodswings…..again

Yo so I haven’t been on here in a while and I’m tired so I’m probably gonna forget heaps that I’ve done. But anyways, the last couple of days:
*Constitutional walking tour of Philly
*Independence Hall/liberty bell etc
*Rocky steps/statue
*Hostel pub crawl;got drunk real cheap and ended up meeting these black girls and booty dancing!
*Bus ride that took twice as long as it should to NYC resulting in me missing the Rival Schools/Weezer show
*Vinnies pizza!!!!!!!!
*Generation records
*Curlys lunch
*Yankees vs Tampa Bay. We lost but I loved being at Yankee Stadium!
*FOODSWINGS!!!!! Seriously one of the best meals ever. And definitely the best mock meat i’ve ever had. Ever. See u tomorrow night I guess?

- Smithsonian museums (air and space, natural history, American history) there’s like 10 more smithsonians but I only had a couple of days
- National Archived (bill of rights, constitution, declaration of independence, English magne carte - the satchel legit documents!)
- White house/Capitol building/monuments at night - the best way to see them! Also this was sorta during a storm, had lightning going off allover the place. Unfortunately couldn’t recapture the bad brains Capitol image
- Hooters
- International Spy Museum
- Library of Congress - the interior of that building is amazing!

- The fact that half the kewl shit u see has a strict no photos policy
- The fact that the things u can photograph looks nowhere near as mind-blowing in the picture as it does irl
- Getting caught in the storm. Twice.

Yo so these roids seem to be working. Got into DC fine. Cheap as bus fare to. Not sure if it got mentioned, but I saw Indecision in Brooklyn the other night. Was rad. Didn’t mosh coz I still felt like I was gonna die. Last night was my first night of eating solids again. Went to Red Bamboo, got the “soul chicken” and oreo cheesecake. Was soooo good.

Anyways, got into DC at 4pm, hit the hostel and sorta planned my stay. Went to Soul Vegetarian and Exodous for dinner, had some amazing soul food, was served by a big fat Rastafarian lady! Think I might go back tomorrow! After that, met up with my man Darren from England. Had a few beers at all American institution Hooters! Chatted to this hot black girl that worked there, got her number, hopefully catch up with her tommorrow night.

Tommorrow looks like I’m meeting up with Darren for an epic day of museuming! Once he’s seen the lot I’ll probshit the other ones I wanna see solo, gonna Suss the monuments at night, then probes hit up that soul joint again. Oh yeah i can mostly talk again of ppl want to call. Im on the east coast now, so don’t call between 2pm-10pm unless pre arranged. Che.

Yo! So I haven’t posted on here for a while, turns out ive got tonsillitis :( been mostly chill in in the hostel feeling grosse. What a waste of time! Anyway, i’ve tried doing a few things so far, a tourist bus tour of NYC, went to the Lady Gaga concert, top of the rock/NBC tour, and last night I caught up with Vesko, got some soup & ice cream (the only things I can really eat at the moment) and went to the Mets vs Braves game. Booked the rest of my travel/accommodation today, I get another 9 nights in NYC when I get back so hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy it second time round. Anyway I’m gonna take some more advil and try nap for a few hours, hopefully feel well enough to go to the indecision show tonight.

Still feel pretty sick. Taking advil and throat lolls on the reg. Went to a comedy club last night with a bunch of people from the hostel. Wasn’t amazing, but I got a few lolls, so I guess it was worth the cover charge (free!) stopped at the pub around the corner, found some American wheat beer that was atchelly pretty good. A little pricey though.

Relativly quiet one today, did the duck tour (WWII amphibious vehicle) of Boston, and went to the Prudential skywalk for a few photos. Stumbled upon an Apple store on the way back to the hostel, finally one that had ipads in stock!!

Just about an hour from NYC now, probes just gonna eat something and crash out tonight. Big few days coming up, bus tour of NYC tomorrow, Lady Gaga at Madison Square Gardens at night, burning love the following night (colohan), and indecision the night after. Got heaps of ppl to catch up with in NYC too, Vesko, Joel (taking sides/jungle fever), Reece (aus) who I met in Santa Monica, Tom (aus), Darren (eng) and maybe Alex (aus) who I met in Boston. Should be a party.

Yo so it’s been a few days since i’ve been on here so im combining a bunch of days together coz i cant remember off the top of my head all the things ive been doing! Anyways;

LAS VEGAS 

• went to most of the strip casinos, saw the free shows etc
• oversized cocktails
• Peepshow starring Holly Maddison
• David Copperfield show
• Shot an AK-47
• Blackjack, slots, big wheel. Fuck they even have slot machines in the airport!

BOSTON

• Flew over to Boston overnight. Didn’t sleep. Was already feeling sick (think i have a throat/ear infection) Hard times
• Walked the freedom trail, did a tour with a guide dressed as an English Redcoat. Got an education in American history. Also, this was July 4th, so what a perfect day to do this!
• Watched Redsox vs Orioles @ Fenway Park. Youkillis put one over the green monster! They still lost though.
• Seriously felt bad at this point. Had a 2 hour nap. Felt slightly better so went and made friends with some of the other ppl at the hostel, ended up drinking beer from red plastic cups (how american!), and got invited to a rooftop party to watch the independence day fireworks. fireworks were sweet. partied till late.
• Day trip to Cambridge, toured Harvard. Interesting tour. Got a sick pizza from veggie planet. Now back at the hostel wondering what im gonna do tonight/tommorrow. Dont really feel like doing anything coz i think i have aids though.
